Rahmad Azhar Hutomo was born in Yogyakarta. He graduated from the Archives and Records Management program at Gadjah Mada University and studied photojournalism at Galeri Foto Jurnalistik Antara. He began his career as a photographer at National Geographic Indonesia in 2016. Currently, Azhar works full-time as an archivist at one of Indonesia’s government while also focusing on long-term documentary projects.
Azhar continues to work throughout the Southeast Asia region, collaborating with various organizations to present his personal work and engage a wider audience.
