Shortly after the sirens sounded to signal the end of the curfew, the Indonesian National Army immediately launched an attack to push back the Dutch troops from the capital city of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This battle lasted for six hours to prove Indonesia’s existence in the international world. This moments known as Serangan Umum 1 Maret, 1949. Reenactment is an activity to relive historical events by wearing certain uniforms and some special accessories based on historical research, literature studies, and interviews.
